3칸 크기의 대문채를 지나 안으로 들어서면 사랑채를 만나게 되는데 잘 다듬은 자연석으로 기단을 만들어 바닥을 다진 후 건물을 세워 튼튼함과 안정감을 주고 있으며 주춧돌 위에 사모기둥을 세워 지붕을 떠받치고 있다. 오른쪽으로 정면 2칸은 대청이 설치되어 있어 한옥의 고풍스러움을 전해 주고 있으며 대청 벽면은 문으로 만들어져 있다. 왼쪽으로 안방과 오른쪽으로 건넌방이 있고 벽면을 따라 쪽마루가 길게 나있다. 안채는 작은 문을 거쳐 들어갈 수 있도록 담이 둘러있고 옆에서 보면 '人'자 모양의 맞배지붕으로 구성이 되어 있어 깔끔한 인상을 준다.
넓은 마당 가운데 항아리가 가지런히 정리된 장독대가 설치되어 있고 건물 맨 오른쪽에는 부엌이 설치되어 있어 살림을 맡아 하던 안주인의 이동 경로가 눈에 선하다. 사당은 정면 4칸으로 구성되어 있으며 뒤쪽에 위치해 있어 엄숙한 분위기를 내고 있다. 또 광채는 'ㅡ'자 형으로 곡식은 물론 각종 농기구를 보관하던 장소로 이용이 되었고 맞배지붕으로 이루어져 있다. 고가 주위로 울창한 숲이 이루어져 있어 경관이 아름답고 마당은 깨끗하게 포장을 하여 방문자들의 마음을 가볍게 한다. 또 마당 한 켠에 뜰마루를 설치하여 더위를 식히는데 도움을 주고 있으며 잘 가꾼 잔디밭과 화초는 고가와 함께 조화를 이루고 있어 아름답다.
